Porraket Dechdacho

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences. I obtained my M.S. degree in hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and B.S. in geosciences from Penn State. My M.S. research focused on arsenic removal from groundwater using column experiments and fractional advection-dispersion modeling. My current research focuses on variable density flow in fractured media. I use multiscale visualization methods, including network-scale flume experiments and pore-scale Hele-Shaw cells, to investigate the density effect in fracture networks. I also conduct 3D fracture network simulations using discrete fracture networks (DFNs) modeling.

I am from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. I enjoy growing houseplants as watching them slowly grow makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. My favorite one is Monstera. I also like hiking, cooking, and film photography.
