Yoonseo Pak

I am a senior undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, pursuing a B.S. in Statistics with a minor in Chemistry. I have a particular interest in machine learning and statistical methods and enjoy exploring their broad applications to real-world problems. I am currently involved in research using computational and machine learning methods to study subsurface systems. What excites me most about this research is its potential application across a wide range of areas, including carbon capture and storage, water quality and public health, and in-situ mining.

Outside of research, I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. I played varsity soccer in high school, and I still enjoy both playing and watching the sport. In my free time, I also enjoy playing guitar and playing strategy games.
